Call History for 5xxx Phones and 5660 IPT

Description

This call control-based feature is recommended for the small-display sets, including: 5020, 5220, 5224, 5010, 5207, 5212, 5312, and 5215, 5304, 5324, 6905, 6910 IP Phones and Navigator. For the large-display sets (5320/5320e, 5330/5330e, 5340/5340e, 5360 and 5560 IPT), it is recommended to use the Call History Application.

NOTE: It is strongly recommended that you use the Call History Application (not the Feature) for the 5560 IPT set.

Hot desk users can maintain their call history recording, and can view their call history record, even when logged into another extension.

When programmed for any of the supported devices, this feature logs the following calls for the device:

NOTE: Calls within a cluster are considered internal calls. These calls do not generate call history records. Calls to another cluster are considered external calls and do generate records.

Once the call limit (maximum 20) has been reached, the oldest record is replaced as each new one is received.

NOTE: You can program the system to insert an Outgoing Dialing Prefix, saving the user from having to enter it. See Program Call History for 5xxx Phones and 5660 IPT for details.

NOTE: For 5320/5320e, 5330/5330e, 5340/5340e, and 5360, it is recommended to use the Call History Application.

To display the call history, and view call detail:

  1. Press the Call History feature key. The total number of missed calls is displayed in brackets ( ), and the number of new missed calls is indicated with an *.

  2. To browse though the list of missed calls, press the Yes softkey, followed by the UP and DOWN keys to scroll through the list. To view answered or outgoing calls, press the No softkey (once for answered, twice for Outgoing). Use the UP and DOWN keys to scroll through the list of answered or outgoing calls.

  3. To view the dialed number, press the Detail softkey while the call record is displayed. Press the Next softkey to display the time and date.

To return a call:

  1. Display the call you want to return.

  2. Do one of the following:

  3. If the call is internal, and the caller name is known, press the Call softkey. For unknown numbers, the Call softkey is not be displayed.

  4. If the call is external, and you normally need to precede external calls with an outgoing call digit such as 9", it's likely that your system administrator has programmed your system to insert the "9" for you. In this case, pressing the Call softkey initiates the call immediately. If the system is unable to complete the dialing automatically, you will be prompted to edit the dialed digits manually. Position the flashing cursor at the first digit position. A ß softkey appears on the right side of the display. Use the ß softkey to delete the left most digit, or dial digits to insert them. After you have the edited the digit string, press the Call softkey to dial the number.

To delete all missed, answered, or outgoing calls from call history:

  1. After selecting the type of logs you wish to delete, press the DeleteAll softkey.

  2. Confirm that you want to delete all items by pressing the Yes softkey.

To delete a particular call from call history:

5010, 5207, 5212, 5215 IP Phone, 5304 IP Phone, 5312 IP Phone, 5324 IP Phone, using the Call History Feature Key

To display call history, and view call detail:

  2. To browse though the list of missed calls, press the * key (Yes), followed by the UP and DOWN keys to scroll through the list. To view answered or outgoing calls, press the # key (No) once for answered, twice for Outgoing. Use the UP and DOWN keys to scroll through the list of answered or outgoing calls.

  3. To view the number, press the # key (Options) while the call record is displayed. When the options screen is displayed, press the * key (Details) to display the number. From the number display, press the # key (Next) to display the call time and date.

To return a call:

  1. Display the call you want to return.

  2. Do one of the following:

To delete all missed, answered, or outgoing call logs:

  1. After selecting the type of logs you wish to delete, press the # key (DeleteAll).

  2. Confirm that you want to Delete all Items by pressing the * key (Yes).

To delete a particular call from call history:

  1. With the call log displayed, press the # key (Options).

  2. The Options menu is displayed. Press the # key (Delete).

6905 IP Phone

Note: Contact your system administrator to configure a programmable key for Call History.

To display call history:

  1. Press the Call History line key.

Note: To close the call history, press

  1. Use the  and keys to navigate through the list of missed, answered, or outgoing calls.

  1. To view the list of missed, answered, or outgoing calls, press the Yes softkey followed by the or navigation keys to scroll through the list.

  2. Press the Exit softkey to go back to the call history options

  3. Press to exit the call history option.

Note: The Call History on the 6905 IP phone records only the external incoming and outgoing call records.

To return the call:

  1. Press the Call History line key.

  1. Use the and keys to navigate through and review the list of missed, answered, or outgoing calls.

  2. With the name of the person you want to call selected, do one of the following to dial the call:
