This call control-based feature is recommended for the small-display sets, including: 5020, 5220, 5224, 5010, 5207, 5212, 5312, and 5215, 5304, 5324, 6905, 6910 IP Phones and Navigator. For the large-display sets (5320/5320e, 5330/5330e, 5340/5340e, 5360 and 5560 IPT), it is recommended to use the Call History Application.
NOTE: It is strongly recommended that you use the Call History Application (not the Feature) for the 5560 IPT set.
Hot desk users can maintain their call history recording, and can view their call history record, even when logged into another extension.
When programmed for any of the supported devices, this feature logs the following calls for the device:
missed - external and internal
answered - external only
outgoing - external only
NOTE: Calls within a cluster are considered internal calls. These calls do not generate call history records. Calls to another cluster are considered external calls and do generate records.
Once the call limit (maximum 20) has been reached, the oldest record is replaced as each new one is received.
Users can display the following call information:
if available, name of the caller (incoming calls)
called party name (outgoing calls)
start time of the call
type of call (missed calls, incoming, outgoing)
Phone users can
filter their record views by call type
delete old records after they have viewed them
return missed calls by pressing a softkey
insert ARS prefix digits required to make external calls (users can also add or subtract prefix digits manually).
NOTE: You can program the system to insert an Outgoing Dialing Prefix, saving the user from having to enter it. See Program Call History for 5xxx Phones and 5660 IPT for details.
A call is only logged at the phone whose prime line is called. For example, if a phone with prime line 2000 answers an incoming call to multicall extension 2001, the call is only logged at the phone whose prime line is 2001.
Call History is not recorded for ACD calls.
Calls can be initiated from the Call History records.
Up to 20 call records (default) can be stored per user. The default maximum number of records per user can be set in the "Call History - Default Call History Records" field of the System Options form.
Supported on all devices.
NOTE: For 5320/5320e, 5330/5330e, 5340/5340e, and 5360, it is recommended to use the Call History Application.
